As many of you know, I am in the process of moving out of my house where I lived for almost 14 years. I lived here longer than any other location and it was my first home with my husband. We moved in as babies and we are moving out as semi-adults:)
As I literally dug through the dirt at our new home, I thought how ironic it was that I was digging through a totally different type of dirt at our old home. Much of the last few weeks has been spent going through drawers, cabinets, boxes and closets getting rid of all the stuff we no longer need or use. It feels so cleansing to rid my house and my being of all this stuff.
In the midst of my cleansing, I came across old journals that reminded me of how far I have really come. I read through excerpts providing flashbacks of the pain I went through mentally and physically throughout my 20’s. It was sad, yet refreshing to read them. I don’t regret a day of my life and that includes the struggles. After reading through some more of the pages, I decided to throw them all into the recycling bin. When I wrote those words, pain and suffering filled many of my days. Just as great as it felt to rid my house of the stuff I no longer needed, it felt even better to rid my soul of these memories.
We have the ability to change our perspectives, our life and our future! Rid yourself of what no longer serves you and fill yourself with what does!
Life is filled with ups and downs, successes and struggles love each of them equally!

Health and Beauty Tip
Drink Up Your H2O!!!
I have always emphasized the importance of drinking water, but I finally started keeping track of my water intake and I realized I was not drinking as much as I thought. Because I am active, I feel my best when I get 100-120 ounces of water a day. Begin tracking your water intake and then try increasing it gradually to 80-120 ounces. I love using my waterlogged app and 22 ounce Lifefactory bottle to track, but find a method that works best for you.
Pour and drink:)

Pose of the Month
(as seen in the picture above)
Corpse Pose, Savasana
It may seem silly to make Savasana the pose of the month, but for many Type A’s, this pose can be more challenging than any arm balance or inversion. Take extra time this month in your resting pose and try your best to allow your body, as well as your mind, to relax. Enjoy!!!
- Relaxes your central nervous system and calms your mind
- Helps relieve stress
- Relaxes your body
- Decreases beta brain waves and shifts to slower brain waves
- Reduces insomnia and helps improve your sleep
- Reduces headache and fatigue
- Helps relieve depression
I think Savasana is pretty explanatory, but if you need further guidance… Read more here!
