Sometimes good things fall apart so that better things fall together

Yes, I am back in the US and I am staying for a bit. It was quite the journey through Italy. In 6 weeks, I stayed in 3 different regions and 6 different hotels. I flew into Nice, France and flew out of Naples, Italy. I took trains, ferries, taxis and we drove a lot between Campania and Calabria. As much as I love Italy, I am excited to be home where I can sleep in the same bed every night and not live out of a suitcase. And, I am so happy to be cooking again. I am sure Zeek is happy to be home, but I am sure he is missing his daily snacks from everyone he passes in Italy.

Before I left, I listened to Paris Hilton’s memoir. I did not know much about her, but her story and accomplishments are quite fascinating. I highly recommend listening/reading it. While listening, she said the following, which made me stop in my tracks to write it down so that I could share it with you. “Sometimes good things fall apart so that better things fall together.” I love this and truly believe that the good can get even better.

And, when searching for a picture to share, I thought the above was a perfect example. In 2019, we planned to visit Vietri sul Mare along the Amalfi Coast for vacation in 2020. We clearly needed to reschedule due to coivd, but I was persistent on staying at a beautiful Palazzo that hovered over the Mediterranean. It ended up being a November vacation, which was not ideal, but we still had a fabulous time. And, we were lucky enough to be the only guests staying at the Palazzo. As a result, we spent a lot of time chatting with the owners and the chef. A year later, I could not stop thinking about our stay and decided to add the Amalfi Coast to my Yoga Adventures. At the end of May, I hosted my first group there and it was so much better than I ever could have expected. The above smiles and radiating happiness are evident that better things are always on the horizon.

I hope the above can be used as a mantra to guide you through the good that doesn’t always turn out the way we expect, but often can lead to something better.
