I hope you are enjoying your weekend! Well, I am getting ready and extremely excited to head back to Sicily this week. Back in 2019, I visited the Island’s east coast for a few weeks. When I was there, I thought to myself, this would be an amazing location for a yoga adventure. But, although I went to visit quite a few villas and hotels, I did not find the perfect place to host an event. However, I did not want to give up.
When we returned home, I continued to do research and found a place that I just knew was the one. But, despite my confidence and familiarity of the area, I decided I should fly back and see the villa in person. So, that October, I contacted the owners and scheduled a site visit for March 2020. Well, I am sure I do not need to tell you the rest of the story, but after rescheduling and rescheduling and rescheduling, I am finally making the journey back to the east coast of Sicily to stay at a stunningly gorgeous property. It seems surreal that this original meeting was scheduled almost two years ago to the date.
If I have learned nothing else over the last two years, it would be to stay persistent. I often wanted to give up and I often still do. But, moments like this week, remind me to stay strong and keep going. So, let’s use this week’s mantra to guide us all.
