Change is often challenging, but more than ever we want change to happen. We want change to happen quickly allowing us to go back to “normal.” But, change may not happen as quickly as we would like. If you live here with me in Bethlehem, our stay at home order just got extended to June 4. Once again, halting our transition back to the way it was and the way many of us want it to be.
Now, my events are canceled up to July and my fingers and toes are crossed for gatherings to be approved for July and August. But, we will just need to wait and see. So, rather than dwell on what has been erased from my calendar, I have decided that I will focus on what I can begin to add for the future. Yes, I know…when will that be? Well, truth is, I do not know. But, I’d rather focus on moving forward, rather than being stuck. Yes, maybe, I will need to cancel and reschedule more, but planning and thinking of the future gives me hope and helps me stay positive.
So, I have been telling myself that resiliency is the key to getting through each day. Some days are better than others, but the best days occur when I dream of the future and what it has in store. Let’s use this week’s mantra to help us get to the future with strength.
This week’s mantra:
I am resilient.
I am resilient.
I am resilient.
Lastly, part of being resilient is knowing when to take a break. I should have been in Spain for the last few weeks hosting retreats and then Josh was planning to meet me and Zeek there to vacation. So, I am taking Memorial Day weekend to simply chill here and hopefully disconnect from technology as much as possible. So, mantras will resume May 31. Enjoy the holiday!
Sending you all love and virtual hugs! XO – L
