This week, I am continuing to focus on the Two Minute Morning because I am still loving it and I hope you are too. Not to be redundant, but this week’s focus is…focus.
Simply taking the time in the morning to write down three focal points for the day has been extremely helpful for me. This has made a huge difference on how I operate my day. Previously, I started my day in reactive mode. So, I answered everyone’s emails, texts and requests from everywhere prior to starting work on whatever was on my agenda. This often spun my day out of control and I often never got to my priority list for the day. Now, I start with my three focal points and then respond to other requests. Somehow, I get my list done and still get back to everyone else.
The focal points do not need to be only work related. I am trying to put two work related focal points and one personal on my list for the day. See what works for you and notice if you are starting your day by putting other’s priorities first. Can you shift your day to make yourself a priority and then get to other’s requests? Let’s use this week’s mantra to guide us…
I will focus on…
I will focus on…
I will focus on…
With gratitude,
