Complicated choices can lead to complicated outcomes.

While traveling solo to our house in Calabria last month, I thought a lot about what to write here. There is not enough space here to write about all the comedy of errors that took place or about ALL the moments of panic I had. I can laugh about “some” of them now. But to summarize, nothing is as perfect as it may appear. However, I did have some beautiful sunsets and even some rainbows, as seen above.

What I really want to share with you was how I got through one of the most challenging moments of the trip because I hope that it can help you through some moments of stress as well. The night before I was leaving, to my surprise, I noticed three new large dents on my rental car that I barely drove. I am assuming a rock/s hit the car. Who knows?!? As a result, I spent the entire night crying and fearing returning the car. But, on the drive there, I decided that I would do some breathing exercises and use a mantra to calm myself down. I repeated over and over again…

Complicated choices can lead to complicated outcomes. But, I love my complicated life.

I often choose the path less taken and I love that about me, but that also leads to moments driving down a road in Calabria where you will need to return a damaged car and speak a language that is not your first. Then, you will try to hold back your tears and fears and just breathe. That being said, the rental place did not seem to care about the dents and 24 hours of panic was not necessary.

But, it did help me find perspective and know that if I continue on this path that there will be lots more moments like this ahead. Life is complicated, which leads to inevitable complications. We can all take the easy way, but the challenges of life make life so much more interesting. And, they give us so many more stories to tell, but I am not sure that I am ready to laugh at this one yet, ha. As always, I hope this little glimpse into my life can help you in some way. If for nothing else, maybe you can get some laughs from the situations I continuously get myself into, haha.

Next month, I head to Italy for the Italian Riviera Yoga Adventure and the Amalfi Yoga Adventure. After, we will head to our house in Calabria where I hope to find some sun and sand and time off of work. Fingers and toes crossed.

If you want to join me on this crazy adventure called life, please consider Sicily and/or Amalfi next year. Spots are filling and I would LOVE if you could join me! As always, simply hit reply to respond to this email to check in, say hi, ask questions…

Sending love and positive energy!
