Coconut Oil Popcorn
I won’t deny my obsession with popcorn and coconut oil and mixing them together makes me even happier. Enjoy coconut oil’s metabolism boosting effects, memory and energy enhancing capabilities and bacteria ridding powers while munching on some popcorn!
Large Heavy Bottom Pot with Lid
1/2 Cup Organic Popping Corn
1 1/2 Tablespoons Coconut Oil
Additional Ingredients to Add on Top
Nutritional Yeast Flakes
Heat your pot over medium heat.
Add the coconut oil and let it completely melt. Once the oil is completely melted put a few kernels into the pan, cover the pot with the lid and wait for them to pop. Once the test kernels have popped, place the rest of the popcorn seeds into the pan and cover. Make sure the kernels cover the pot evenly.
After the kernels begin popping, begin to shake every 10 seconds or so until you hear the popping slow down. When the popping slows down to a pop every 2-3 seconds remove the pan from heat and continuously shake for another 10-20 seconds. This helps the popcorn at the bottom from burning.
After the 10-20 seconds, or you feel the popping is finished pour into a bowl, salt to taste and enjoy. Add additional toppings, if you would like.
This recipe makes enough popcorn to fill a large bowl.

Coconut Oil Pulling
I already told you that I love coconut oil! So, here is another great way to use this superfood.
Simply add a teaspoon of coconut oil into your mouth and swish it around around for 10-20 minutes. The oil will become liquified as it warms up in your mouth.
After 10-20 minutes, spit oil into toilet or garbage, rinse mouth and then brush teeth.
Make sure to discard the oil into the garbage or toilet. The oil can clog the sink drains.
I prefer to do it first thing in the morning on an empty stomach.

Yoga Pose of the Month

For me, plank pose is more than just a pose, but rather it is a transition into poses that strengthen us further mentally and physically. Plank is where upper body strength begins in yoga and where we mentally prepare ourselves for the movement into chaturanga, one of the hardest poses in yoga. As the winter months progress, use plank to heat your body and strengthen your mind.
Make sure shoulders are stacked over wrist creases.
Keep hips on the same level as the shoulders.
Activate leg muscles to help support the body.
Draw the lower abdominals up and in to support the pelvis.
