Today’s mantra is brought to you by some personal reflection as most of them do, but today’s has not been impacted by a book, podcast or class. I hope it helps you reflect as well.
Although it has been almost 14 years since I left my “real” job, I still clearly remember the sadness and anxiety I would have when I drove to and from work. I was living the life that I “should” be living rather than the life I truly wanted. Back then, I’m not sure it was clear I even knew what I wanted, but one day I just jumped and went for it. I left my job feeling insecure, afraid and even guilty.
Removing that obstacle gave me room to see what I was truly passionate about. I was teaching yoga back then, but only once a week and I thought it was just for fun. When we stop filling our lives with what holds us back and pushes us down, we open our doors, our hearts and our minds for true passion to come in. We don’t need to wake up and hate where we are going and nor should we.
My mantra this week comes with a bit of homework. I think now is the perfect time to make changes, big and small. Do some soul searching this week and decide what you can remove from your life that is holding you back from living a life of happiness and passion. I no longer have a job. I have a life filled with passion. I believe we all can.
This week’s mantra:
I will fill my days with passion.
I will fill my days with passion.
I will fill my days with passion.
