As you know, I often write down expressions, poems, thoughts that inspire me while reading, listening, doing… And, they always impact what I share with you here. This week is no exception. So, while taking an online yoga class with Kathryn Budig, I heard her say, Learn to Rest, Not Quit. Although the words are so simple, I found them as being quite profound. We often feel as though it is one or the other. We either do something or we do not, but what if we took a breather, a pause, some time to rest, rather than quit?
We can obviously apply this to exercise, but what if we applied this to other things in our life allowing ourselves a moment to pause rather than always feeling like we need to be moving at 100% or not at all? I know this is challenging for many of us, but let’s observe this week where we can take a rest and where we have quit unnecessarily. Let’s use this week’s mantra to guide us:
Learn to Rest, Not to Quit
Learn to Rest, Not to Quit
Learn to Rest, Not to Quit
